뉴욕에 있을때 와인 마실 기회가 많아 매일 한두잔은 기본으로 와인을 마셨습니다. 대체로 프랑스산 와인을 즐겨 마셨는데요, 홀세일가격으로 20불짜리부터 몇백불짜리까지 마실 기회들이 많아 제 혀는 와인에 적셔 살았었어요. 


그리스산 와인은 접할 기회가 없었는데요, 그리스에서도 와인 생산을 하더군요. 또한 와인 생산국중 가장 오래된 국가중에 하나라는걸 알게 됐습니다. 특히 그리스산 와인은 그리스 외에서는 접하기가 쉽지는 않기 때문에 신들이 마신 와인이라 불리는 그리스 와인을 접할때 저에겐 "할렐루아~ 맘마미아~" 를 외칠수밖에 없는 절호의 기회였습니다.


그런데.. 

레스토랑이나 빠에 가서 와인리스트를 보면요..



와인가격이 한잔3.5유로에서 비싸면 7유로


뉴욕에선 레스토랑이나 빠에서 와인가격이 11불~ 20불정도 하기 때문에 와인가격을 보고 깜놀했습니다.


와인가격 보고 나서 커피 가격을 보니 카프치노가 3.5유로 혹은 4유로


커피와 와인가격이 너무 비슷하니.. 커피와 와인을 좋아하는 저에겐 어떤걸 마셔야할지 고민을 하게 만드는 가격이더군요.

 

또한 한병에 30유로, 40유로 정도면 맛나는 와인을 즐길 수 있답니다.


다양한 와인을 저렴한 가격에 접할 수 있으니.. 여러분도 그리스가시면 꼭 와인 드셔보세요~~!!



또한 와인을 슈퍼마켓이나 커피숍, 혹은 길거리에 있는 매점같은곳에서도 살 수 있습니다.





작은사이즈 와인인데요 귀여워서 찍어봤어요. 


또한 그리스에서는 개인 집에서 재조한 와인을 팔기도 하는데요, 저는 새벽에 와인이 땡겨 키오스트 (길거리에 있는 매점같은곳?) 직원의 추천으로 1.5리터 짜리 사봤습니다.


KIOSK

* 그리스는 24시간 여는 매장이 없습니다. OK마트라는 곳은 11시전에 문닫구요, 그후에는 KIOSK에서 간단한 음료수나 과자 등을 살 수 있으세요. KIOSK는 대체로 2시전에 문닫는답니다. 


피트병에 든 와인이였는데요 가격은 3유로 푸할~~


깊은 맛은 없었지만 매일매일 가볍게 마시기 딱 좋은 와인이였어요. 간혹 병으로 파는 와인도있지만, KIOSK에서 파는 병와인은 한모금하면 병채로 버리고싶은 충동이 생길수도 있어요. 3유로 피트병 와인이 새벽 정말 와인이 그리울때 사시면 딱일듯 싶습니다 :)

10 Nikis Place
Nikis Place is situated just a few meters from central Syntagma square and is ideal for relaxing after sightseeing or shopping. 9 Inoteka
Inoteka, on picturesque Avissinias square, in the heart of Monastiraki flea market, is open from the morning hours for coffee and homemade desserts, lunch and dinner. The menu includes specialties such as rolls with smoked cheese, bacon and fig preserve, fried stuffed olives, spicy potatoes to accompany your wine or beer. Try the fresh salads, the delicious club sandwich, the classic burgers. Drinks and cocktails are enjoyed with interesting musical selections, many of which from vinyl records. Some evenings you can listen to 30s swing, 50s rock n roll, 80s new wave, 90s electronica and often there is live music. Saturday and Sunday lunchtime are a great success with Greek rebetika. 8 Stinking Bishop
Stinking Bishop is a bar with unique personality. Located in the elegant neighborhood of Kolonaki, the space is decorated in minimal style, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Here customers can taste or take home some of the best varieties of cheese and hams from Greece, France, Holland, England. The selections were made after long research and visits to producers. The cheese menu can be enjoyed in dishes with cheese and hams, in open face sandwiches, accompanied with salads, soups, salmon, prepared on the spot with fresh ingredients. The research on wines has also been extensive, selecting approximately forty five different labels, mainly from local produce, several of which are served by the glass. 7 Kiki de Grece
Kiki de Grece is a charming wine bistrot on quiet pedestrian Ipitou street, very close to Syntagma. Greek wine and tasty snacks are the highlights, and the name was inspired by Kiki de Montparnasse, the French muse of Parisian artists in the twenties, who in difficult times had said that the only thing people need is some bread, an onion and a bottle of wine. At the Greek Kiki you can find many varieties of local wine by the glass, at very reasonable prices, accompanied by delicious tidbits such as chick peas with capers and smoked eel, varieties of Greek cheese and honey, homemade tarts, Greek cheesecake with cheese from the island of Ios and Cretan rusks and many more special dishes. 6 Wine Booth

4 Winepoint
Winepoint is the new hot point exclusively for Greek wines in Athens.
